Reliable Sea Freight Across Every Ocean

Ocean shipping remains the backbone of global trade, carrying over 80 percent of the world's merchandise by volume. CargoLine partners with leading container lines including Maersk, MSC, CMA CGM, Hapag-Lloyd, COSCO, and ANL to offer Australian importers and exporters competitive rates, dependable schedules, and priority equipment allocation on all major trade lanes.

From a single pallet moving as less-than-container load freight to a fleet of forty-foot high-cube containers on a dedicated service contract, our ocean freight team designs shipping solutions that optimise cost, transit time, and supply chain visibility. We manage the entire process from your warehouse door through to final delivery at destination.

Our Ocean Freight Services

Full Container Load (FCL)

For shippers with sufficient volume to fill a standard or high-cube container, FCL provides the most economical and secure ocean freight option. Your goods are loaded at origin, sealed, and remain untouched until they reach the destination warehouse. CargoLine secures contracted rates on high-volume lanes, passing the savings directly to our clients. We handle container booking, empty pick-up, loading supervision, export documentation, and vessel tracking from port of origin through to discharge and devanning at destination.

We offer the full range of ISO container types: 20-foot and 40-foot standard, 40-foot high cube, open-top containers for oversized cargo, flat racks for heavy machinery, and platform containers for out-of-gauge project freight. Our operations team advises on the most suitable equipment for your cargo dimensions and weight distribution.

Less-than-Container Load (LCL)

When your shipment does not justify a full container, our LCL consolidation service lets you share space with other compatible cargo. You pay only for the cubic metres or tonnes your goods occupy, making sea freight accessible for smaller and mid-volume shipments. CargoLine operates regular LCL consolidations from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Fremantle, and Auckland to over 300 destination ports worldwide. Our Container Freight Station (CFS) partners ensure careful handling, proper stowage, and secure lashing to prevent damage during transit.

Refrigerated Container Shipping

Australia's agricultural and food industries depend on reliable cold-chain ocean logistics. CargoLine manages refrigerated (reefer) container shipments for fresh produce, frozen goods, dairy products, meat, seafood, wine, and pharmaceutical ingredients. We coordinate pre-trip inspections, temperature set-point programming, genset connections, and real-time temperature monitoring throughout the voyage. Our team also handles the fumigation certificates, phytosanitary documents, and health declarations required by importing countries.

We work with shipping lines that maintain modern reefer fleets with controlled-atmosphere capability, extending the shelf life of sensitive produce on long-haul routes to Europe, the Middle East, and North America.

Breakbulk and Project Cargo

Not all cargo fits inside a standard container. Heavy machinery, structural steel, mining equipment, wind turbine components, and other oversized items often require breakbulk or specialised vessel solutions. CargoLine's project logistics division manages feasibility studies, route surveys, lifting plans, lashing and securing calculations, and port-side cranage. We charter multipurpose vessels and heavy-lift ships when commercial liner options cannot accommodate your cargo profiles.

Our project cargo team has managed shipments for mining operations across Western Australia and Queensland, infrastructure developments in Papua New Guinea, and renewable energy installations throughout the Pacific Islands. Every project begins with a detailed transport study that identifies risks, permit requirements, and cost-saving opportunities.

Buyer's Consolidation

Importers sourcing from multiple suppliers in the same region can benefit from our buyer's consolidation service. We collect goods from several factories, inspect and photograph them at our overseas warehouse, and consolidate everything into fewer containers for a single ocean shipment. This reduces per-unit freight costs, simplifies customs entries at the Australian end, and gives you a single point of contact for all origin logistics.

Port-to-Port and Door-to-Door

CargoLine offers flexible service levels to suit your operational setup. Choose port-to-port if you manage your own cartage and customs, or opt for our complete door-to-door service that includes pick-up, export clearance, ocean freight, import customs clearance, and delivery to your nominated address anywhere in Australia. We also provide port-to-door and door-to-port combinations for maximum flexibility.
